I got an Acer 3690-2576 as a hand-me-down, so I wiped it to factory settings, when it loaded up it showed the Acer launch tool and started installing things, so I waited, and everything was going fine till it got to the second last thing, eRecovery. I've left it running for 2 days straight, I disabled sleep and all that. I've given up on installing it, but when I try to end task it I nearly freeze my computer (I can do it though), its very annoying. How do I A.) Make it install or B.) Turn off the launch tool. I'm not going to use the internet or install games or anything, I'm using it for small projects, so I don't see my laptop dying any time soon so I don't need a special recovery system. So install or not I don't care. Can someone help me.

    start > run > msconfig
click the startup tab, find the entry for that installer, and disable it.
