Was there a solution to the e-power management resource hogging problem? I am finding sometimes that it takes 50% CPU on my dual core notebook (which means an entire core!). This is totally unbelievable.

The process in question is called:

    ePower_DMC.exe

Any information on how to stop / avoid this would be useful! It can easily steal 1hr of battery life!

My solution was to uninstall it along with all the other acer crap that was on it. Even still, it uses about 100MB more system memory than my desktop - measured right after boot-up before opening any programs. Both computers are set up almost identically. I think the only way to get the best performance possible, is to do a format and reinstall from scratch.

If you uninstall ePower Management, how do you get full LCD brightness back? On my system, without ePower, my LCD only gets to ~80% brightness.

I hadn't noticed any difference in brightness on my 5672 except when unplugged. For that, I just used the keyboard to increase it.
