    Hi,

I purchased Acer aspire 5630 with Windows Vista. I took backup of Factory Default Setting and Drivers Software using eReovery tool soon after I purchased the notebook. After that installed Linux. Now when I am trying to get back to Windows Vista using the eRecovery Factory Default DVD's, it is getting failed.

    Please give any suggestions.

    Regards,
    Harish

Hi - have you tried pressing 'Alt + F10' during initial bootup, and recovering Vista via the hidden partition?

...or did you wipe the hidden partition?

I believe you can also get in contact with Acer and they should be able to mail you out recovery discs, at a small cost.

I don't think wiping the hidden partition matters. I zero-filled my HDD and was able to re-install from recovery DVD's

Umm, it does matter for the OP in this instance as they say:
So their recovery discs don't seem to be working - thus their last convenient hope is to recover via the hidden partition using 'Alt + F10'.
