I bought a better model from buy.com for $499 without any rebate hassles and I am very happy with it. The model from Buy.com comes with a DL DVD burner, 512MB Ram, and built-in Bluetooth. I can run the 1.6 cely with Acer power management for between 2.5 and 3 hours before I have to recharge.

what you get 2.5 hours on a 1.6! i have a 1.5 cel and i get only 1 hour if i am lucky( screen lowest settings, wifi disabled, and e very thing turn down as far as it goes)! if you can get something like that for 500 that's a good deal i paid 800 for mine a year ago.

I got that same deal from Buy.com. I'm pleasantly surprised to say the least. Battery life is fantastic. The screen is very bright and has possibly the best contrast and color saturation I have seen on a notebook LCD, rivaling the Sony screens. The only drawback is the vertical viewing angle is pretty narrow. If I tip the notebook just slightly up or down I get the color-shift effect. I've read in other reviews that this is the case for most Acer LCD's. I also did not get Bluetooth in mine, that seems to be a pot-luck kind of thing, since it isn't listed in the included specs. All in all a great buy.

I got lucky I went to Comp-USA to play with a 9810 and underneath it was a sign 10% off on all laptops from Apr 24 to Apr 28. So i got it for 2700. :)
