Hi - I have an Acer Aspire 1414WLCi.
Recently, as soon as I unplug the AC cord, it shuts down. When I plug the cord in and reboot, it shows battery at 72% full (Acer power management). I removed the battery and reinstalled it but it still shows that battery has 72%....

Can anyone tell me what to try next?

    Any help greatly appreciated...
    Pete

    Have you tried battery recalibration?

Anyway, how old is your battery? Maybe it's dead.

John - I have exhausted my search of blogs and websites on how to do this. Can you point me in the right direction?

If my battery were dead, why would it show 72% ???

How old is the laptop? It could be dead even if it shows 72%, could be stuck there for some reasons...
