    Acer Travelmate

    Hi I have 2 acer travelmates, one of them will not boot, says insert boot disk (it doesn't have a CD drive so this doesn't make sense). It already has XP installed its just randomly started doing this.
    The second one's screen is faded so you can barely make out what's on the screen, I have bought a replacement screen but this does the same thing (I know the new screen definitely works as I tried it on the other one), I figured its probably something to do with the wiring, but I could be wrong.
    Can anybody help me with either of these problems?

    You should recover Windows (form the hidden partition) on the one that plays thicks with an OS.
    As for the one with fading screen I may be an inverter issue. Can you post a photo?

    I figured out the first one, someone removed the hard drive from it o_O
    The other one has been thrown away, as i had to use the hard drive from that one.
