    I just got this Acer Travelmate 4400 and my son dropped it and has cracked the casing itis cracked in the left hand corner near the bracket now i cant open and close my laptop;. What do I do ? Can you replace that ?

    Please help.

    anything can be replaced.... the real question would be "is it cost effective"

    have you ever disassembled a laptop?

    you might get away with using a strong EPOXY to glue the CRACK back together... i recommend JB WELD

    if you just wanna replace the part (i assume it's the LCD COVER)??
    search EBAY for your laptop model # and see if there are any sellers offering the part at reasonable prices
