    I remember I used to avoid anything Acer like the plague maybe 3+ years ago and beyond.

    They have really been doing an excellent job at changing their brand image through some truly interesting and seemingly great designs despite being BGA. Its basically the only brand that lets me forget that point.

    I really love the design of acers recent laptops. And I thought the triton 700 was an excellent laptop. Only real shortcoming was the battery life. But thermals and power were on point. So needless to say I’m very excited for this one. Looks a tad chunky. And I’m not sure how well that hinge will hold up over time and if it was transported in a backpack a lot. Design wise it looks great.

    They honestly are the company Razer thinks they are at this point. Though some of their premium stuff makes even some company’s like Apple seem cheap. But, since most of that is limited edition like the Predator 21 laptop I can give them a pass on the absurd prices. As I’m going to assume that Thronos is not gonna be affordable purchase. If only I was single. . .

    Sony had a mix between the xps 12 and a modern convertible back in like 2012/2013 as well. Triton 900 really reminds of it.

    I recall people hated it, odd to see now people like the form

    Thin Bezels really don’t matter in my opinion. Yes you get more of a cleaner look with them. . .but besides making the laptop look sexy what is the point. In all honesty it’s actually a bad thing. Smaller bezels means small laptop chassis’s. Smaller chassis’s means less room for commonents and cooling. In my mind the industry has it backwards. Instead of “We made the smallest 15” laptop!” It should be “We fit a 17” laptop screen on a 15” chassis and a 18.4” on a 17” laptop chassis.” We’ve been using big bezel laptops for so many years that they should keep the size the same and give us bigger screens. Atleast that’s how I’d do it. Lol.

    And it does look like chuncky laptop. But, RTX cards use more power than the out going 1000 series cards so they’ll likely need some serious cooling power. But honestly it looks like a foldable desktop. And if it has that kind of power I’m sold also.

    Not much about the Acer Triton 900 since announcement, here's a couple of videos, one in English, one not...hoping this model works out well - it's got a full RTX 2080 *not* Max-Q.

    Acer delivers into the Asian regions first, so we might not see this in the US or Europe for a while...

    Any news on price and release date? With a 4K UHD screen with GSync is at 60Hz?
    I haven’t seen or heard of 120Hz or more 4K screens.

    Here is a tear down video. Alot easier than the Triton 500. Also it looks like two models are on the way. Both will have the RTX 2080 Desktop and the 9750h and either 1TB for $3799 or 2TB for $3999. I sent an email to acer support to see if they can shed some light on a release date. It's definitely expensive, but it's from what I can tell the only Desktop 2080 laptop that doesn't have a 1080 screen.


    I found this too. Apparently they are making a CREATOR version of this laptop. The short version is doesn't have RGB lighting, less aggressive exterior look, and can have an i9 inside. Everything else is the same as it still rocks a desktop RTX 2080. If only Acer would release something and stop show casing awesome things.

    Still testing it. But look @hmscott! It does exist! When was this announced? A year ago? You guys can find it on amazon for $3000. It retails for $3700. So if you want a semi thin laptop with a full RTX2080 you might wanna jump on this before they sell out.
