1.Acer Laptop comes without partition, this is very annoying issue for buyer. Nowdays every manufacturer offer one with partition.
Once you create partition, a large chunk will be taken by C drive, and third partition will happen but will not be allowcated and never shows in my computer but dead partition. problem, problem.......s
2.Also there is no restore disk provided; you have to create one with 4 DVDs.manual never tells in details regarding when to do this.
3.International warantee is not available, but international travellers warantee comes with lot of strings attached and honoured only in two cities in India.
When contacted call centre/service centre difference of opinion found about
registration and local guarantee and international traveller warantee.
    4. Manual is worse as it is understood only by people accustomed with Chinese English. and you have to take print out of soft copy.

I must say acer is not user friendly.

I never had any issues with partitions, but I'm sure if you call their service lines they'll be able to assist with at least SOME of these problems.

You might be out of luck on the warranty and manual if they don't have one in your primary language.

Take these issues up with Microsoft, they've been pushing the "no recovery media" thing for a long long time. Most laptop manufacturers are the same as Acer.

You can borrow an external optical drive to make the recovery discs?
