You know how, when you press the "e" empowering technology button the toolbar pops up? And when you switch on the bluetooth module, the WLAN switch, and even the FN+UpArrow and DownArrow and the little green text at the bottom of the screen comes up? Well, in my system it's not working anymore.

Last thing I remembered that happened was my Norton IS 2009 detected a virus and prompted to restart the system, and so I did, and then things started to go weird. For instance, the touchpad driver needed to be reinstalled, and then I could see that my startup items DRASTICALLY got reduced, looking at the task manager. I tried reinstalling the Empowering Technology Framework, but still it doesn't work. Any of you guys experienced issues like this? How do you solve it? help... :(

Check your system if it loads the OSDctrl.exe ( Alt control delete) task manager .

If not , find the file on your hard drive , and make a shortcut to it at the "start up " windows menu.

I can't find any file like that in my system--could being in WinVista be the reason? What is it supposed to be anyway? :D

EDIT: Oh, got it already. Found LManager.exe and put it in the Startup folder. Thanks thanks!
