    Ok it looks like after loads of emails, regarding my aspire 1703sc bad bios flash, i,m left with no options ,
    1. send board off to be exchanged,(gonna be costly)
    2. send boadr of for inhouse programing (costly again)
    ok , left with one other option , to try and get another pre programed bios
    and try to de solder and solder back on the new one, ok its tricky but not got alot to loose have i , the aspire aint worth what they want for options 1 & 2
    ok so here is where you can help me out,
    1. where on the aspire 1703sc motherboard is the bios chip located
    2. anyone know of somebody who can program a chip and sell it to me3. anybody desolderd a surface mounted bios chip before if so want to guide me tho what you did and how you did it , tools etc

    ps i do have a pic of the motherboard here it is below if anybody can point out the bios from this would be helpfull (i would think its somewhere neat the bios batt there sems to be a chip near it that is NOT surface mounted (sim to the old type cd rom bios chips but guess i am not gonna be that lucky that its a pull out bios)
