I have searched and searched the net but I can not find a single review about this d@mn laptop. Is it that bad that no one cared to talk about it. Even the manufactuer doesn't have it listed on its site. I bought this thing online at walmart.com Thursday and its on the way via UPS. I'm starting to think maybe I should not open it and just deny the parcel when it comes. Someone please help me on this. Find me something or someone with a simuliar series tell me a little about it.

Here's what I know so far:

Man, i can tell u for sure that there is nothing to worry about. My laptop is also not listed on their website(but if u are more specific of ur location, it may be at least listed as a model as a proof that it actually exists). I think that 99.99% u'll get what u've purchased.

Don't know if I should thank you or not. :)

That almost sound like you're saying " You get what you pay for", and I'm thinking this thing was really cheap. But I hope thats not what you are meaning.

ACER, loves to slightly change it's specs (mostly the processor or features like an OS) that ends up being a whole other model number.

And all the sudden the original Model number magicaly dissapears from allmost the whole entire net. At least thats my experience with Aspire 1804. (Not the travelmate)

i have a 3613. It's in the 3610 series. About the only difference is i have a slightly smaller screen, a celeron m, 40 gig drive, and no dvd burner. I really like mine. I have 2 gig memory and have the video memory set tup 192mb. (set in bios). Sadly, it won't run vista's aero theme. (regardless if it has 192mb memory.)

To be SUPER SURE go run Everest Home on the pc to verify the correct specs on that floor model.
