    Hi....
I own an Aspire 9500, recently I changed the OS to vista. I tried to upgrade the bios. I downloaded the newest Bios and upgraded using the DOS flash utility everything looked well, the progress meter (check marks) went all the way and I thought everything was OK, but after a reboot the computer will not boot, the power light turns on and the fan works but it will not boot. he screen never lights up. I already disassembled the laptop to try and fix it myself. So, I need Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp !!!!
Is there a way to force the laptop to boot to replace the bios ?
Is there a way to bypass the bios ?
Is there a a jumper that can be used to erase the bios?
Any help would be greatly apreciated. This is a great laptop and I would like to keep it.

Trying a new EEPROM could work. You will have to try and contact Acer, and see if they can supply you with one. The EEPROM is small removable piece of memory, on which the BIOS is stored, and if you have disasembled the notebook, you should be able to find it.

    Thanks for your reply !
I'll try disconnecting the battery first and then your solution.
