Have an Acer Aspire 7560-SB416 (with AMD A6-3400 APU) that was "stepped on" and busted the LCD/LED screen. Replaced the LCD/LED screen and it works, but the screen / display flickers. Tried a different LCD screen and same flickering (both screens are new and tested ok on another laptop).

Replaced the LCD cable - same flickering. Pulled the motherboard and pulled the heatsink from the CPU - both the CPU and HS had water on them. Cleaned and repasted the CPU/HSF. With only the motherboard, LCD cable, DC jack and power cable attached, powered on -- still flickering.

Note: This flickering occurs at the POST screen (in BIOS/setup), when booted into Windows 7, or booting from utility disk using XP -- so it has nothing to do with any OS.

Downloaded and updated the most current BIOS from Acer support site -- still flickering.
Any suggestions on anything else to check ?? The only other obvious problem is the motherboard itself.

Thanks to anyone with any additional suggestions.
