I have just installed windows xp home edition with all sata drivers and works great.....I did this for only gaming reason....I have gained about 30% performance increase in all games as compared to vista....My video card Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT GDDR3

Every software installed for me.......I want to enable my laptop 5.1 channel sound inside my laptop but the only software not installing is acer eaudio......Any idea how to do this since even my realtek sound card driver for xp deosn't have the support unlike in vista it did......My laptop has inbiult 5 speakers and a woofer.....Any suggestion highly welcomed...

Also, I have a Optiarc BD Rom in other words a blue ray reader but in my computer it shows me 2 drives....\
    - One it shows me CD/DVD RAM
    -Other it shows Removable Drive

But when I play Blue Ray disc it works but why can't it read it as a single drive like BD ROM as it did when I had vista...

Any suggestion are welcomed.....Please also tell me how to turn on my inbiult laptop speakers 5.1 sound....Urgent

I'm absolutely stumped - not very much WinXP expertise.
Try posting this in the Hardware or Windows forum.
And if you don't like our subforum, stop posting here! Take your negativity elsewhere. :)

Did you ever get this resolved dude? I'm about to put XP on mine. I had pre-conceived the idea that the Audio Drivers would have trouble but was'nt sure.
The Tuba CineBass is proprietary to Acer.

Wooooo, I don't understand why you have to behave like this and be rude. I don't know how people behave in your environment but this is not your place. And this is not a forum where We HAVE to answer to everyone's questions (your questions sound like demands though). People are giving advice for free here. You should appreciate any advice you are getting kiddo. After all we don't even frigging know what's your laptop :eek2: .

Nevermind so here a couple of things you should have done if you know anything about windows apart from typing in rude manner.

Try the realtek drivers for XP 2.26 it seems that worked for some people.

As Leroy Bad said the subwoofer is Acer's something so you might need their drivers after all. Since they aren't any for the latest models (why would be anyway), try the Acer's 5920G. I hope you know where is the Acer Support Site.
Now you can even try the 6920G drivers for Vista because they are for XP as well.
Now even if you do this you might need to enable the 5.1 setup from the control panel> Sound properties > Advance settings or something and then Speaker settings. I am not quite sure if that's the order since..., suprise suprise, I don't have XP.
    Honestly now what's your laptop?

Ok, I've got everything working, I think the 6930 audio drivers also work in XP too but you get a different interface, 6530 also works. Only Acer Empowering software I could'nt get to work. Those seem to be Vista only no matter what.

Not if you use an older version. Try the 2.0, you will find them in Aspire 3640 page. It is for XP so it might work. But to be honest, do you really need them? I have uninstalled all the Acer bloatware. I've only kept the launch manager and the Acer GridVista.

You are both rude and nasty without reason. How you got to green is anybody's guess.

    Got it...
