My acer aspire 5920G just died few days ago.

My warranty is over so i m thinking whether to send it for repair at SLS or Acer or to fix it myself.

I can power up with both battery or AC adapter
My screen is totally blank and there is no external video output signal.
DVD player can still eject itself.
All the lights on the right all up.
HDD and the other 2 lights lit up for 1 or 2 sec when i press the on button then no more.
It power down immediately when i press the ON/OFF button again.

Any advise is welcome on how to fix this problem.

I had the same problem.. googled around for help, tried everything. like pushing and holding power button for 45 sec without power cord or battery installed - didnt work.
i tried to unmount the different modules inside and start up, like the RAM's and graphic card.. when i did a start up without the graphic card i noticed i slight change in the lcd so i figured the card had to be broken..
then i found this: YouTube - Oven Trick - Nvidia GeForce 8600M - Acer Aspire 5920G
I tried it and it really worked..
hope it does for you too!
