    Hi

was wondering if anyone can help me on this one?

My aspire crashed not to long ago and when i tried to install my back up discs it wouldnt reckonize the discs ( i was trieing to re install vista basic)

so my old man installed vista premiem for me...and now it works all good and fine.

but...i cant seem to get any sound out of the headphone port...(no software sounds or music is can be heard through the port) if i go into control panel the head phone port is set to activation.

the only sound i can get out of it when i put headphones/aux cable is the test sounds when you test to see if it works in control panel

if i have anything plugged into the port the sounds still come out of the laptop speakers not the heaphones.

does anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it

Have you tried the original audio drivers for your notebook. If you didn't check this link. Find your model and download the audio drivers and setup. If your problem doesn't solve, I'll try to upload the drivers that I'm using in mine.
