    Help!

I am trying to use AUDACITY to record via LINE-IN socket on the front but it only works with the internal microphone and not the LINE-IN.

Looking at the WindowsXP config, in both the Control Panel >> sound and audio >> audio RECORD options and also REALTEK Mixer tab the LINE-IN and MIC-IN are disabled/greyed out.

I have flashed the bios, updated windows etc I also went back to the shop I bought it at and another identical model had the same problem, as did two other similar ACER models.

How can I enable the LINE-IN record functionality?????

Does anyone have this function working???

    TIA

    EJR

Have you ever figured this out? I'm having the same issue. How do you enable the line-in?

    Thanks!
