    Hello,
i have an Acer Aspire 5630 and i try to replace my old wifi ( A/B/G) module with a new one from Intel (A/B/G/N) wifi 5100 agn but I have some problem with its operation, i installed, install their drivers, but does not connect, look 'disconected' even if I tried to turn it on physical button or from Network Connection.
    What I tried:
    - I reinstalled the driver from the Intel website - Nothing Happens
    - I Installed Intel PROSet / Wireless - Nothing Happens
    - I reinstalled Windows 7 - Nothing Happens
WiFi module running just fine on another laptop, one on which I removed.
Is there a problem with the motherboard BIOS does not support WiFi module B / G / N?

What is the brand of the laptop your removed the module from? Modules from notebooks that use whitelisting won't work even though Acer doesn't use whitelisting.

That's why it won't work - white listing works two ways so to speak. BIOS checks the card and card firmware refuses to run if not in a HP laptop. The card won't work in Windows.

Laptop does not have white-listing enabled but the card will refuse to work in non-HP laptop. You can buy pretty much any card that is not meant for HP or Lenovo and it will work fine. This one won't work.

Ok, I researched myself and saw that Acer not have wifi white-listing blocked or something else but the wireless card is not branded for HP,
is like any other card from market.
I think the laptop himself have a problem with wireless N cards.
    The card looks like this
