    HI guys,

Was wondering if someone could give me some pointers, I followed This Link and tried to flash my bios using one of the files found when searching that first page for "5580".

So it was booting previous to flashing with that file, and now no longer goes.
If i boot up normally, it just powers up, turns the fan onto full, and sit there...
So i used Wincrisis to make a thumbdrive recovery disk (using the bios file from acer), and plugged that in. Did the steps (fn+esc), and now the boot sequence is to power up and then the fan goes quiet. But it's not reading off the disk (can't see the activity light working).

I've come to the semi-conclusion that the boot-block is screwed and that i'll probably need to remove the flash memory off the mother board or something like that? I'm a hardware guy, so that's really not a problem to do that.

Does anyone have any other solutions??

    Thanks kindly!
