    Hey,

So I bought acer aspire 5530G a month ago, everything worked fine for few weeks then over night something happened, couldnt really do anything on the laptop without the cpu usage hitting 100% constantly and it was working really slow. Im guessing it was some update that might have messed it up?
I have ran virus and adware checks and yet the problem remained.

But, after awhile I noticed a weird thing, when I unplugged the power cord the computer seemed to work, and when plugged back in the cpu usage hit 100% immedietly.

so I changed the screen brightness to lower when plugged into the power supply and it seemed to have similar effect, the computer is usable now.

Still however when playing games etc you can see that its not running as smoothly as it should (and was running) on this laptop plus I would like to have the screen back to brighter as its supposed to be.

Any help greatly appreciated , thanks in advance!

Start the Task Manager, go to the "Processes" tab and sort the list by CPU usage. See what process take the 100% of your CPU then report back.

What OS are you running by the way? Vista? Do you have Acer eSoftware installed?

it doesnt show anything taking much of the CPU usage, unless when jumping into the show all processes from all users it says the "random system process" more or less translated (running finnish version so cant recall what it is exactly in english), and just alot of svchost.exe running. running Vista 32bit, should have the eSoftware installed.
