    Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any bad experience when using an external monitor with his laptop..I'm thinking of pairing the Aspire with a 223BW Samsung but since I use the laptop for long periods of time, almost everyday, I'm worried an external monitor might fry the graphic card in the long run. I noticed when watching a movie plugged to the TV the whole thing becomes a bit too hot, and after a couple of hours only, so I don't know if using it for 8-9h straight might shorten the laptop's lifespan :( and I can't afford to buy a new one. Of cource there's the option of buying one of those helper fans underneath the laptop but how much would that help..
So put simply, can anyone tell me how much of a burden the Samsung would be on the pc..
    Thx

I've got a laptop cooler under my Acer 5000, can watch encode movies and the temp will stick around 45 degrees where as prior it would go over 90 and trip the auto shut off.

The coolers are well worth the money.
