I bought am Acer Aspire 4720z about 4 months ago. It started to enter into stand by mode on its own, but it was only happening when it first boot up. IT would happen 2-4 times and then stop. Now it seems to happen all the time and about every 15-30 minutes. I tried to use a different ACPI driver as told by someone else that would fix the problem. It did actually but the CPU was constantly being overloaded. I have returned the comp to a state before a changed the ACPI. It doesnt seem to be entering stand by mode as often but it still does it on its own. Any ideas of how to go about finding a solution?
