I just got an Aspire 4530 and considering using Windows XP as my OS. Is this possible? If so, how do I go about doing this?

    Appreciate help with this!

It is possible to put XP on the machine.

What you need to do is find drivers for all of the devices on your machine. Check acers website to see if they have any, otherwise the best place to get them from would be the manufacturer of the device.

Edit: I've just found this which might be of some use to you:

Another thing, you may have to set the HDD from AHCI to IDE in BIOS, or slipstream some sata drivers into your xp disk. Won't install XP otherwise.
