    Hi All,

I am wondering if any of you can help me out here. I've tried loads of different things to remedy the situation but nothing seems to work.

    Right.

I have an Aspire 3502LM (3500 Series) running XP SP2. Every time I boot up in normal full fat XP mode my touchpad and often the keyboard stop working.

The only time it works is in Safe Mode (inc Networking) and I can run Knoppix fine.

I have tried removing the battery and it makes no difference what so ever.

I have uninstalled the synaptics drivers and it makes not a shred of difference.

I have cleaned the contacts on the battery pack and inside of the laptop case. Nothing, Zilch, Nix.

So, does anybody have any idea as to what the heck it could be?

I have read so much literature that I am running out of hope! Has anybody resolved this issue and if so how? I am getting desperate! :( :(
