I just made a purchase of a 1410 for about $340 with an Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 and 2GB ram. I plan to do a clean of install Windows 7 32-bit once I receive the laptop.

However one thing concerns me, how does the laptop fare with online Flash video streaming? I'm thinking it will do fine with 360p and 480p streaming, but is it able to run 720p or even 1080p smoothly?

Also, is this model able to multi-task somewhat? I'm not looking for anything extreme, but I'm wondering more about running multiple tabs in a browser or running Office apps with internet surfing, etc.

If not playable out of the box, are there tweaks to get HD flash playback smooth? I've heard of the new Adobe Flash 10.1 helping out with performance somewhat, but I'm wondering if it's a long wait before a cheap (sub-$400) netbook/sub-notebook can stream HD flash well that isn't an ION with Atom.

I've heard great reviews on the 1410 and like the purchase, but was just curious about some of the performance situations stated above.

    Thanks for any responses.

I decided to re-order with a Celeron SU2300 dual-core and I going to bet it does a better job with all the above (even with lesser battery life).

On my SU2300, I've had good results with 720p and mixed results with 1080p thus far. But that's without the Flash 10.1 beta; I haven't been able to get that working yet. I asked about whether there was any way to get it running in another thread, but never heard back, so maybe it's okay for everyone else.

    Try 10.1 Beta 1 for 1080P flash, I get 15+ FPS and it's watchable.

Just to clarify, I haven't been able to find a copy of the 10.1 beta 1 anywhere. It's the 10.1 beta 3 that I can't get working.

Here's a post in another thread with a download link for beta 1.

Thanks for the link. I tried this, but couldn't get beta 1 working either for some reason. Might I need to update something else first (BIOS, drivers)? I'm still running 3115.
