    hey folks,
i'm trying to use the Acer Arcade Deluxe program that came with my Aspire 6530 to play dvd's. it used to work fine, but now i have a problem. i insert my dvd, open Arcade Deluxe and then click play movie. after that, the Arcade screen just goes black and nothing happens. i don't get any video controls, the video doesn't start or anything. the only thing that happens when i move the mouse is the little house icon for going back to the main menu and a back button appear. any ideas?

also, on a somewhat related note, in Windows Media Player, which i'm using to play dvd's now, i can't get the volume very loud. i have everything maxed, but it's still difficult to hear from more than 3 or 4 ft away. the volume is fine when i'm playing music. any ideas there?

    thanks in advance.
