Hi. I have the AT&T AS1830: Acer Aspire AS1830 Notebook Netbook - Wireless from AT&T

I noticed that the fan is ALWAYS on, and I mean ALWAYS. When the laptop finishes booting up, the fan turns on even though I'm not doing anything on it. It is quite distracting when you're somewhere quiet. Should I send it in to Acer and have them look at it or is this how the laptop is supposed to be? Also, I saw that the laptop gets to approximately 55 degrees Celsius when I was watching a few HD videos. Is that too high?

    Thanks.

I have this issue too, at the end of February I will be sending it in to Acer. They can replace the heatsink and fan and hopefully that will stop the noise.
