Hi there, I am sorry if this has been posted before, but I wanted to know what is the maximum potential of my Acer 8930G in terms of RAM, graphics card, processor and cooling system.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

check out the 8930 owners thread for more info

some motherboards will run a quad core cpu
max ram 6gb(8gb mine will not boot)
cooling i don't think you can upgrade that other than
better thermal paste and maybe a copper shim on the gpu

There are issues with 6GB of RAM however, it isn't seamless.

Given the issues with 6GB of RAM, would you say it is a good upgrade altogether?

    im pleased with the upgrade
only 1 issues here and its not a biggy(wont soft reboot in windows 8-10 times, but fine on cold boot ie:hard boot)
if it doesnt work just sell the ram
that what i did with the other 4gb stick

With me it failed to reboot even after a hard reboot until I took the 4GB stick out, booted it, then put the 4GB stick back in again. I'm just going to wait until some clever clogs out there hacks the bios for us
