This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Acer 8210 USB port issue?

    Hi all,

    Here I go again, I have the acer 8210 fresh install of windows xp pro with all of the updated drivers... My problem is, when I plug an ext. drive or a ext dvdrw to one of the two USB ports on the right my computer crashes. I tried new drivers and on the end reinstalled the OS but it did not help. The only time it works is, if I plug the device when the computer is off, when I trunt it ON all works fine...
