I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 6930G which came with Vista Home Premium 32bit installed. I have a problem with the Ethernet. When I plug the cable on my device I can connect to the network but after few minutes it appears a blue screen and my pc shuts down. What can I do that for that? Please help me….

Is it an atheros LAN. The reason being there may be some issues with that, as there are other people with BSOD issues relating to the atheros LAN.

Could you upload your minidump file.

    Got to C:>Windows>Minidump>********.dmp

If you have access denied errors when uploading, copy the file to another folder then upload it.

If you go to reply, then there is a button that says manage attachments, you can use that, or you can go to somewhere like www.mediafire.com, upload it there, then post the link to it here.

As you're a new member you may not be able to post links so when you go to post the link take out the http://www.

I've looked at your minidump files and all but one relate to a driver on your system (I was hoping it wasn't this but it is) L1E60x86.sys. The processes running when the BSOD's happened were skype.exe, acer.exe and audiodg.exe. This relates to the atheros LAN. I've been researching the problem and it seems that this is happening to a few people, but at the moment can't find a fix.

The only thing for now i can suggest you do is this (this won't guarantee your BSOD's to stop):

    1. Open device manager and go to your atheros LAN, under Network Adaptors.

    2. Go to Update Driver.

    3. Download this folder http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=16711c4f3486c38fd2db6fb9a8902bda and extract it and point vista towards the folder.

    4. Driver should be updated.

I'm going to research this a little more as your not the first person to have this problem and see if I can find a fix.

One other BSOD was caused by eamon.sys which is a driver used by NOD32. Make sure NOD32 is fully updated, and you have the latest version.
