    Hi. I have an Acer 6930, with the 9600m GT nVidia card.

    Recently I've heard my fan really pushing it, and the air being vented is really pretty damn warm.

    I've checked the temperatures when it's just sitting idle, and it's around 60 Celcius!

    Is there anything I can do to lower the temperature? Should I try and open it up and clean out the fan?

    maybe you can try clean it. With time coolers tend to have accumulated dust on it and this can lower the efficiency of the cooling system.

    I to have a 6930g and my temps right now are
    THRM=48 degrees
    Core #0=55 degrees
    Core #1=55 degrees
