    Hello everyone,

a friend of mine has an acer 6920g and he keeps moaning about high temps.. whenever he starts playing a game, the laptop turns off due to high temperatures within 30 minutes..

i am putting the blame on high temps in my region and the dust he has near his place.. so i was thinking of doing a service of his laptop and apply some thermal paste to improve things.. but as i cant find the service guide, can anyone tell me anything else to improve the situation?

You can start cleaning it for dust :) It can cause high temperatures, and it's very easy to do, and trust me, it does A LOT. The temperatures will be decreased! You could also make sure, that his GPU-driver is fully up to date :)

I would love to give you the service guide but unfortunately it's not legal to post it on the forums, however a quick search on google can find it.

    Good luck.

    Kind Regards,
    Peter
