Hi everyone, my laptop is a acer aspire 6920G.
And in one night it did not start up properly and showed me a black screen with whole bunch or words and numbers I don't know what it means. It made some beeping noise when turned on and show:

    Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)
    Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel corporation

For Atheros AR8121/AR8113 PCIE ETHERNET CONTROLLER v1.0.0.4 (2008/01/13)

    CLIENT MAC ADDR: 00 A0 D1 A9 31 F9
    Check cable connections
    PXE-MOF: exiting intel PXE ROM
    Operation system not found

It showed this and with the.black screen. Now I'm not too computer techy and was wondering if anyone had an answer to help me. Please and thank you

It's trying to do a network boot which probably means it cannot see the HDD.
Most likely the had drive has died on you.
Pres F2 to go into BIOS setup and see if the HDD is detected at all.

I tried to check the bios (f2) and the HDD are blank so I guess my hard drive died based on what you said. So does that mean I buy a new harddrive? If so how do I know which one to look for?

    Thank you for the info

Any 2.5" SATA HDD should fit. The only ones that possibly wouldn't are 12.5mm in hight (these were 3 platter drives), so Basically any 500GB or 750GB 2.5" SATA HDD will work fine.

That's true- there are 9.5mm 2 platter 1TB driver but there are also 3 platter ones so I've skipped that part and concluded that any 500GB or 750GB will fit- as for 1TB some will and some won't.
    That's assuming that 6920G can't take 12.5mm drives.
