So I just picked up a 6920 gemstone model from Circuit City. Love it btw! My question is, and I'm hoping I'm in the right place for an answer....can I upgrade the GPU even though it just has the integrated x3100?? I took off the back cover and there is an opening where the GPU is located on the higher versions of this model. Is there any possibility??? And if there is, where do I start?

Thanks much in advance for any help!!

no, no possibility. so you should've have been asking this before buy it, any way,if you can still return it , return it or exchange it to another 6920 with G letter in its name.

    6920G has the NV GF9500GS with512mb GDDR2.

I do NOT ask any technical question I will find all that kind out myself.

But I just some times curious how other people think their laptops ,or wanna know others real life experience with a aprticular laptop, that's all.

    Take care.

Any worthy up-grade for the 9500M GS? I mean, not to expensive but still with some notable performance gains.

We don't even know if the 6920G is MXM-able until someone cracks it open or finds the service manual.
