I am looking at purchasing a T9500 to put into my 6920 (it currently has the T5750). I noticed that there are two models of the T9500, the Q4GG and the Q9WW). These models have different voltage requirements. So I was wandering if this laptop required a specific model of T9500 or if the bios is new enough to recognize the processor and adjust accordingly.

Hi and welcome to NBR.
Both Q4GG and Q9WW are ES(engineering sample) CPUs. These aren't recommended because they might not work well. The pro's around here can tell which ES CPU is worth buying it, I think they base their opinion on the "Core stepping C0, B1 etc" but unfortunately I'm not familiar with this.
The retail T9500 are SLAQH and SLAPW. You need to get the first one, SLAQH, because it's a socket P. The other one is a socket M CPU and it won't work with your 6920G. -
Look for SLAQH. -
