On Acer 5920g-8600gt 512mb, with XP installed and 174.31 driver, this screen I see first time after sbout 45 mins of gaming, and when computer was restarted, next time I see it game's begin of loading. When CPU restarts I see started savedump.exe and when I disable it I can play agen for about 30 min. So, what it could be? Maybe it is cause of hardware, but I don't know of which, cause of restore Cpu by Acronis and saw this again. Help!!!

Hi, not sure if its related but I was getting that screen after I installed Zonealarm free edition on this notebook. But it was doing it everytime I rebooted, so I just started in safe mode, then uninstalled the program and everything was fine. Have you tried a different Nvidia driver? recently installed a program etc.

So, you think it is not about hardware, graphic card etc?

its a heat issue with the GPU. you need to cool the laptop.

cooling pad or give the fan and cooling fins a clean.

if its happened a couple of times already you may need to replace the thermal paste :(

how much ram do you have and how much is being used by graphics ?

    dxdiag will answer that.

It wasn't a heat issue with me, but a program incompatibility. But if it is a heat problem, just think how you are using the laptop during gaming/graphic hungry programs.
Best not to use on your lap.
Check to see where the fan is sucking in air and blowing it out, I noticed by just clearing the way for the fan to breathe it cut the temps down. I made myself a cooler too, a 4 fan configuration in a base that cools the NVIDIA card down by at least 15 degrees.

gaming with such a small amount of ram, something is going to get hot.

you sweat when your stressed, laptops get hot when they are stressed :D
