    Hi,

I own an Aspire 5920G the T7300 Model
Recently, i overclocked the GPU from 475/400 to 600/470.
However, When i run CSS at max settings but no AA and 8xAS,
I can hit temps up to 92/93 degrees celcius, is this normal? or is this a problem?

any help is appreciated, thanks :D

Mine overclocked @675/500 also hits 90+ after some time of gaming withou about 30C room temp...
Although depends on the game too..Played CoH skirmish and had 90+ then changed to another stage and temp was not getting higher than 84C..

At default clocks it's about 6C lower..

Well it's too high, but I don't think it has any problem..Vgas take up to 120C...

Below 100C is OK For VGA I think
    VGA Stock speed IDLE temp-55C(+-1C)
VGA 600/470 OC IDLE temp- 57C(+-1C)

I Never see 6C difference between stock speed and OC

Thanks, i'm just worried that theres something wrong with my 5920G.
So as long as the temp doesnt go up to 100 it's ok?

worried? when you intentionally done something that would void the warranty? 5290G runs cooler then my Sony SZ even when playing HD-DVDs

yeh graphics cards tend to run a lot hotter than cpu's

i think 80 - 100 is in the normal range,if it reached dangerous levels i would think it would shut it's self down

If cpu gets too hot,the system shuts down..

    The vga slows down... ;)

it makes sense though, HD is dependant on graphics card, so I think it would put the same amount of load on a graphics card as gaming does. In any case, I got laptop cooler to help keep the temps down

I guess no one (as of yet) has been able to figure out a way to control the fan speed in the 5920G. I hope this gets cracked soon.

    SpeedFan 4.32 :D

    BTW Remember to offset core temps by +15C (Core0 +15C & Core1 +15C) ;)

    Download SpeedFan 4.32 From Here...
