Basically I'm stuck with 2 options, so I thought of asking here first for advices.

I'm not really sure what is the problem, therefore if anyone experienced similar issue and had it resolved, please post your experience here.

I was using my laptop like usual, with the power adapter plugged, then I noticed the blue light (the indicator when ac adapter is plugged) doesn't lit anymore.

Further troubleshooting; battery is not the issue, as it's running fine on battery power. The adapter itself, when not connected to computer, the green LED on the adapter is lit, everything is fine. But once connected to the laptop, the blue light started blinking occasionally.

Turning on the laptop causes the blue light to go off, as well as the green LED light on the adapter. Disconnect from laptop, turned off/on power supply, and the green LED lit up. Tried without battery connected to the laptop, same thing happened.

Power adapter seems fine -> connect to laptop, blue light started to blink -> turn on laptop, light went off, no power. Not charging as well.

I can just buy another adapter off eBay, but if it's not the power adapter issue, then it's wasted. But if it's the power adapter issue, it's MUCH MORE easier for me to just buy the adapter off eBay compared to sending my laptop to service centre.
