Hi...I just bought Acer 5920 and the price is as you can see, 1500 USD. Come with CPU Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz, 2gb RAM, 160gb SATA, Geforce 8600GT up to 1gb memory and 1 year int' warranty + free wireless mouse, 4gb flash drive and earphone. Do you think the price is worth ? Actually, I came laptop shop to buy Asus G1S but when I was there, I saw same specifications (slightly differences like LCD resolution) but the price was so so different. I wonder why although the twos are almost same ?

    Great laptop :)
Are 5920 laptop hinges feel loose when moving around?

Acer have very low profit margins. They feel gaining market share is of a greater importance.
That is a very good price. Can I assume it is the model without HD-DVD drive?

No...It also has HD-DVD + HD surround system and great short-cut for convenience. Admitting nice though I don't like Acer brand.

Wow, at 1500 dollars that's a real steal. The system is around 1700 here but without HD-DVD.

A local shop should have them in on monday so I'll finally be able to see it in person.

    !!!!
Did you redeem a discount? Considering it has a HD-DVD drive, it "should" cost more than that regardless of currency conversions.

That price is probably the deal of the moment. Though, the benefit of having HD-DVD is somewhat negligible...

How's the laptop mgph. Have heard thats its a very good performer - how about noise and the heat given out by it.

Seriously considering getting the notebook myself as its been released in the U.K.
