    Hi
My notebook is about 2 years old and during that time i have added 4gb ram(now total 8gb) and changed my harddisk to 320gb hdd.
When i want to play games(plugged in,not on battery)its normal about 2-3 min. then all notification lights start to flash and the charging stops and when i dont close the game laptop shuts down!
Has anyone had that kind of problem? First I suspected that my battery or charger is the problem but i tried other battery and charger and it did not make any difference, the lights still started flashing. Then I cleaned it thoroughly of dust but still no luck.

hav you tried updating the chipset and graphics drivers.

Reinstalling windows if it came preinstalled with acer bloat also helps

Tried Updates and reinstalled windows too.nothing. Maybe its somehow overheating? Maybe I need to apply new thermal paste to chips? Im planning to send it to a proffesional repair;but I wanna try all home repair options first.

Did you try to monitor CPU and GPU temperatures under load?
Did you clean the vents with canned-air?

Idle temps are both cpu ang gpu 45-50c. Under load it rises gpu goes to 75-85 and cpu is 60-70.When i start the game the temps rise pretty fast and i even put an icepack under the notebook and nothing helps.

Why don't you try dismantling it (check the stocky for a service manual) apply some hight quality thermal paste and clean the radiator.
It sounds like an overheating issue.
