    I have a question.

I bought a "dead acer 5742G" with no ram and hdd for €40, but after putting in some ram and
removing the battery it "came alive". :)
Looking on the acer side for the drivers, I saw there are 3 for the webcam and 2 for the wlan and touchpad, most is the same as my acer 5740G.
How can I found out witch one I needed, trial and error ?
Its the one with i3-370, HD5470, 320gb hdd and 3gb ram.

    Hi,
Go to device manager, expand "Mouse & Keyboard" to find out your touchpad, you can also find out your camera model as well. HTH.

No, windows installed as default 1.3M webcam (usbvideo.sys) , you can not see a manufacture, same for touchpad.

There is an app on Acer support website that shows you what Wi-Fi card, touchpad and camera module do you have.
