I formatted my 5672 and installed XP Pro fresh. I intended to download whatever I needed afterwards. The problem is that Windows did not detect my wireless card, and when I noticed it was off and tried to turn it on, it wouldn´t come back on. I´m now trying to use my recovery CDs to get the laptop to work properly again, but I want to try formatting it and using a fresh clean Windows installation. Has anybody ever seen this happen? Can anyone help?

you need to download the right wireless drivers for your laptop. [IMG]

Download those and install them though the device manager, not though the setup.exe

Thanks, SSX. I feel pretty silly now, if that´s all it takes to make it work. I guess I should prepare a CD or DVD with all the drivers in advance then, right? Thanks again!

Actually I hadn´t tried it yet when I answered. But what I decided to do is to use the recovery CDs first to get my notebook working again, and then try to install the clean Windows XP some other time.
