Yesterday I purchased a 5633, It is my third computer to add to my wireless network which works perfectly with the mainframe and a Toshiba notebook. I set up the network and it works normally all computers can see each other and communicate. Where I live my computers can find four wireless internet access points, including mine. Three are secured, including mine. one, which is not too good a signal, is not. The Acer will connect to my network and function, Internet and e-mail, then after a short time it switches and connects to the un-secured network. None of my computers will connect to the internet or e-mail when connected to this network. I haven't tried for very long yet but do not seem to be able to prevent this undesired switching. While I am playing like this the Acer and the router are about one meter apart in the same room, I doubt that it is a signal strength issue. Does anyone have any experience or ideas ?

De-couple the computer and the unsecured network. and untick auto connect to unsecured network.

Alternatively, allow roaming to only the 3 secured ones.

Are you talking within windows or in the e- thing ? my windows wizard will not work and I seem to have to use the provided software, I can't seem to find anything that forces a disconnect in that. Still I'll have another go later I'm at work at the moment. Must admit I have only played for a couple of hours at the moment. It's just that, in the modern computing world an Internet connection is essential for installing anything.
