Hey Guys, I made a choice 6 months back which is considered to be my worst choice ever made in my "computer" life. I decided to bought an Acer 5562 with an extension of its warranty. These days, or ever since i have bought this laptop. The HEAT problems has been bothering me, so i decided to get a notebook cooler from cooler master.

So i got it right ? Started to play a game, Blam, Shuts down after 30-45 minutes. Played another game, Blam, Shuts down after the same amount of time. So i decided to fool around, installed RMCLOCK and undervolt the CPU. From 1.262V To 1.038V. Burn the cpu in for the night. No fault. And then i decided to run the game AGAIN. And guess what ? It shuts down again. And guess what the CPU Temp read ? I decided to minimize the game while playing it and guess what the temp is -93 Degrees. I AM GLAD i did not play the game on my laps. Would have made me sterile. So Anyone any SUGGESTIONS ?

You need to take several things into consideration when you do laptop gaming. The first and foremost is that you are cramming a desktop graphics card and all other compents in the thickness of about 1 inch or so, so expect some heat. As far as "bam shut down" sounds like the computer is not being properly cooled at all. I would suggest that you look into NHC (notebook hardware control) if you have an Intel processor. As far as RMClock, if you don't know what you are doing don't fiddle around, this can void your warranty and cause further issues down the line.

Also it sounds like you have a similar laptop to mine (the 5672) and would suggest that you read up on the 5672wlmi how-to guide for cooling, etc. How in the world are you hitting 93C with a laptop, that's just stupid! If you are hitting 93F then that's MORE than acceptable for a range of temps. If you are shutting down under 55C then you have a hardware problem (or a driver issue). If you monitor your temps, make a few adjustments, and be smart about it you'll be fine.

so you're using a laptop cooler?
make sure the fans on it work WITH the fan on your laptop. the 5672 i have has a fan that sucks air IN. if you put a cooler that sucks air AWAY from it, then you're asking for problems.
so check to make sure the airflow is in the correct direction, i've read that some coolers blow air on the laptop, while others suck it away.

One thing I notice you seid you had it 6 Months. When was the last time you clean it? If the fan not clean then you found your problem.

Before trying to mess with the laptop other than a can of air. If cleaning dont help go back to the store and see if they can look at it.

I do know how to use RM CLOCK btw. I have also tried using canned air to clean my air holes and everything. I am trying to do something which does not Void my warranty therefore i think unscrewing the cover and re-spread the heat sink is out of my options. So i think the only options i am left with is to either bring it to Acer care or the shop. One question though, lets say, does the CPU have any abilities to lower its voltage if it gets too hot ???

All intel cpu's have built in thermal monitoring and stepping. Lowering the cpu clock speed and GPU speed will also help your heat output.
