    i have a ACER 5515 series that will not boot when i turn it on it says PXE-E61 : Media test failure, check cable
    PXE-M0F : Exiting PXE ROM
    Operating System not found and thats as far as it goes i thought maybe i could put a windows 7 disc in and just try to boot from
    cd but that didn't work

    Hello and welcome to NBR.

    What you're seeing may indicate that boot order is wrong. Make sure that BIOS is set to boot from HDD or DVD- whichever you're trying to achieve at the moment.
    What your laptop is trying to do at the moment is network boot.
