    Hi,

i bought a Acer 5102 WLMi and installed the correct driver from the website of acer. But everything I do with the Configuration (POP, LIVE, ROCK, Loudniss, LivingRoom).

Always the Sound is bad !! When I use headphone also the sound is bad.

Probably because acer put a bad soundcard (codec)... if you wanna improve it; you might need to buy an external soundcard. try creative's X-mod; quite cheap; and its just a plug and play device, no driver required.

    1) Don't use Realtek's preset equilizers, there are more for messing around and having fun listening to different sounds than to make things better. To fix it, just go to ur sound properties and adjust wave to the top minus a few bars. That will increase sound output and make things sound better. Mine actually sound better than a Macbook.

    hi,

it´s not possible to uninstalled the realtek-tool, because the tool includes the driver. I put the wave button in the sound manager of XP to the top and then in the realtek-tool everything on "none" (i don´t use the equilizer), but still the sound is bad !!

Nobody has the same problem with his Acer 5102 or 5100 ??
