    Hello Everyone!

Im thinking about ordering the Acer 3820TG from Canada (which means the i3 version).
I was wondering how good is the 3820TG for gaming.
I won't consider myself as a hardcore gamer, but I do play quite a lot.

The main games I play are -
    Starcraft 2
    World of Warcraft
    Crysis
    TF2

I'll be happy to hear how the computer handles these games, and how is it in general (for gaming).

    Thanks in advance!

I tested Medal of Honor on my Canadian 3820TG and it ran fine.

Tested SC2 and TF2 and they work fine.

also Civ5, Force Unleashed 2, and Fallout 3 run perfectly on Max.

3820TG is not special in any way- the performance is similar or almost identical to many other notebooks with HD5650 and Core i3/i5.
Take a look at this set of benchmarks of HD5650- games are at the bottom of the page. Keep in mind that some notebooks (HP, Toshiba, Sony) utilize an underclocked HD5650 so don't look at the average score but at separate scores.
Also mind the fact that HD5650 is highly overclockable so these are only baseline scores that can be further improved.

Seconded. Any info of a similar config's benchmark (i3/i5 + HD5650) or gameplay video would be a good starting point.

    Here are my experiences:

Here are some Youtube videos (posted in the Owner's Lounge first post, credits to Hendrickson):

Acer TimelineX 3820TG Battlefield Battlefield Bad Company 2 ATI 5650 SP benchmark [HD]

    Starcraft II onb Acer 3820TG:

Acer TimelineX 3820TG on Starcraft 2 with High Settings (i5 / ATi 5650)

Some videos of the 5740 with i5 430M + HD 5650 (stock clocks) running GTA IV:
(this convinced me the 3820TG would run GTA IV fine, and telling You again, it does)

    Acer Aspire 5740G Gaming - GTA 4

    Another one:

GTA 4 on Acer aspire 5740G

The CPU intensive GTA IV utilizes my CPU at an avarage load of 60-70%, top load was 85%, so anything as fast as the 430M would do.

Keep in mind the 3820TG's HD5650 can be OCed.
