    Hi all,

    I've an Acer 1830T with i5-520UM with 3G embedded.

    I'd like to know:

    1. The PLL clock generator of this laptop in order to do an overclock with SetFSB.

    2. Is there an possibility to upgrade i5-520UM to i7-680UM? Cpu is already soldered on the mainboard or not? If not, how can I buy an i7-680UM?

    3. Does somebody have the repair guide of this laptop?

Thanks in advance for your answers...

As far as I know, the UM processors in the 1830T are BGA mouted and, soldered in. I don't think they can be overclocked with SetFSB without a pinmod. This is all from memory and I don't own an 1830T. The place to check is the Acer 1830T thread. http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/468120-acer-aspire-timelinex-1830t-thread-245.html
