I have a Acer 5672 - 1.66Ghz, x1400, 2gb. I have NHC installed and am mainly using this laptop for word processing and surfing the net. Right now I have clocked my Processor speed to 1.00 Ghz ie 6x mutiplier at 0.9500 volt. Now I want to know if I increase the volt settings and also increase the speed of the processor how will it affect the overall life of my laptop.. Also what should be the ideal settings that should be used in NHC for my purpose.

    thanx..

I find that my identical spec 5562 works well on 1Ghz at 0.95V and with the GFX (ATI Powerplay) at 209Mhz for battery, and on max settings while on power. The only thing I do is undervolt the processor to 1.025V at 1.66Ghz and leave the GFX on ~400Mhz. These are my ideal settings.
